Our team is made up of 3 Officers, 8 Directors, 11 agents and 5 office professionals; to assist you with your insurance needs. We employ a full time Adjuster to handle all claims. All agents work from their homes to service their surrounding areas. Our knowledgeable, friendly staff in the main office located in Somerset, Ohio, is committed to providing excellent customer service to our clients and our agents.

Dan McConnell has been with the Company as an Agent and Director since 1999. He served many years as Vice-President and at the current time serves as President of the Board of Directors. Dan serves the Zanesville and surrounding areas.
Philip Horner started with the Company in 1978 as an Agent and Director. In 2005, he transferred his policies to his wife, Kris Horner, and has stayed on as a Director. Phil is currently serving as Vice-President of the Company.
James Bope has been with the Company since 1979 as an Agent and Director. He has served as Past-President for many years. Jim serves the Fairfield and surrounding counties.
Todd Childers became a Director for the Company in 2011. He is a CPA and has his own business in Lancaster.
Joseph Flautt as been a Director for the Company since 1985. He is the Prosecuting Attorney for Perry County and has an office in Somerset and New Lexington.
Bill Harvey has been with the Company since 1979 as an Agent and Director. He serves the Licking County area.
Mike Oliver has been a Director for the Company since 2003. Mike is retired and lives in McConnelsville.
Jack Rhodes started as an Agent in 1979. He serves the Somerset, Glenford, Mt.Perry and surrounding areas. He has served in the past as a Director and as Treasurer.
Tammy Tebben became a Director with the Company June 28, 2014. She lives and works in the Lancaster area as a CPA.
Mary Jane Rodgers
Mary Jane Rodgers started with the Company on July 2, 1984. She has been an licensed agent since 1985. She was promoted to Office Manager/Secretary in 1987 when Tom Ream retired. Mary Jane operates her own agency, Rodgers Insurance Agency, which is located within the Perry County Mutual Fire Insurance Company’s office to write auto and commercial policies for the policyholders. Mary Jane also serves on the Board of Directors of OAMIC (Ohio Association of Mutual Insurance Companies).
April Thorpe has been with the Company since September of 1985. She was born and raised in Perry County. She has been licensed since 1986. April graduated from Zane State College with an Associate Degree in Computer Science. She manages the processing of the property insurance policies specializing in the advanced billed policies. She also assists with Rodgers Insurance Agency.
Angie Tacket started with the Company working part-time in July of 2003. She became full-time in January of 2005. Angie is a 2007 Ohio University graduate, Magna Cum Laude. Originally from Marion County, Ohio, Angie relocated to Fairfield County in 1998. She specializes in the Liability policies, and collaborates with policy processing and assists with Rodgers Insurance Agency. She has been a licensed agent since 2005.
Devan Trosky started with the company December 2016. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing and was licensed in insurance in October 2016. After 16 years of nursing, she decided to carry on the family business and join her mother, Mary Jane Rodgers, by becoming an insurance agent. She also works part-time as an agent for Rodgers Insurance Agency. She lives in Somerset, where she resides with her husband Cody and their three children: Gracie, Brayden and Dakota.
Kim Forgrave works as a CSR for Perry County Mutual Fire Insurance Company. She has been employed with the Company since November 2015. Kim resides in Somerset with her husband David, where they have lived since 1981.
The Perry County Mutual Fire Insurance Company was organized September 6, 1877, with a group of Perry County farmers insuring each other. As this service proved to be a successful and beneficial enterprise to the communities of Perry County, other farmers joined in and eventually non-farming home owners began to further the association’s foundation.1877
